چکیده
The use of ashes derived from various waste sources as supplements to synthesized ceramic reinforcement in metal matrices has been established. However, studies involving a combination particulates three different are rare. In bid further knowledge this aspect research and develop green aluminium composite for automobile applications, the present investigation studied implication adding palm kernel shell ash (PKA), rice husk (RHA), steel particles (STP) morphology strength behaviour Al-6061-T6 alloy. experimental design was undertaken via Box–Behnken (BBD) response surface method. A 4% STP at constant dose mixed with PKA RHA varying proportions stirring temperatures according BBD. outcome revealed that responses were greatly influenced by microstructural evolution. From plots, 2–4% enhanced tensile flexural strengths, while 4–6% led decline strength. Meanwhile, 2–6% favourable enhancement compressive strengths moduli. Temperatures between 700 800 °C favored improvement, whereas 900 detrimental responses. Developed regression models validated be good representations outcomes. optimum mix obtained 4.81% PKA, 5.41% RHA, temperature 803 °C. validation experiment conducted portrayed reliable <5% deviation predicted values, thereby certifying statistically fit future predictions.

متن کاملINFLUENCE OF MECHANICAL ALLOYING AND LEAD CONTENT ON MICROSTRUCTURE, HARDNESS AND TRIBOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR OF 6061 ALUMINIUM ALLOYS
In the present work, one batch of prealloyed 6061Al powder was processed by mixing and another one was ball milled with varying amount of lead content (0-15 vol. %). These powders were compacted at 300MPa and sintered at 590˚C under N2. The instrumented hardness and the young’s modulus of as-sintered 6061Al-Pb alloys were examined as a function of lead content and processing route. The we...
متن کاملeffect of extrusion process on the microstructure and strength of al6061-sic composite
al-sic composites are among the most demanding metal matrix composites due to their excellent strength, good ductility, good corrosion resistance, low coefficient of thermal expansion and reasonable price. manufacturing of cast metal matrix composites usually involves some problems such as inhomogeneous distribution of the particles due to poor wetability of ceramics to molten alloys, porosity ...
متن کاملCharacterization of Microstructure and Bending Response of Sheet Material: Influence of Thickness
Bending process is one of the most significant fields of application of sheet metal die. In bending process, it is quite vital that the product should have the desired angle. Furthermore, in order to obtain the desired angle in the bent parts, spring-go and spring-back amounts must be known. In this study, 30o, 60o and 90o bending processes were applied to S235JR (1.0038) sheet metal having 3, ...
متن کاملDynamic modelling of hardness changes of aluminium nanostructure during mechanical ball milling process
In this research, the feasibility of using mathematical modelling in the ball milling process has been evaluated to verify the hardness changes of an aluminium nanostructure. Considering the model of normal force displacement (NFD), the radius of elastic-plastic and normal displacement of two balls were computed by applying analytical modelling and coding in MATLAB. Properties of balls and alum...
